This Privacy Policy describes how TraderStack Tools ("we", "us" or "our") collects, uses and protects information about you when you use our website at traderstacktools.com and related services (collectively, the "Platform"). By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and a hashed version of your password. We do not store your password in plain text.
Trade journal data. If you use the Trade Journal, we store the trade records you voluntarily submit, including instrument, direction, entry and exit prices, lot size, profit/loss and any notes you choose to add. This data is associated with your account and is not shared with third parties.
Usage data. We may collect anonymised, aggregated data about how users interact with the Platform, including pages visited and features used. This data cannot be used to identify individual users.
Technical data. We may collect your IP address, browser type, device type and operating system for security, fraud prevention and service improvement purposes.
2. How we use your information
To provide and maintain the Platform and your account.
To store and retrieve your trade journal entries.
To process payments and manage your subscription if you upgrade to Pro.
To send transactional emails such as account verification and password reset.
To respond to support enquiries and feedback.
To monitor and improve the security and performance of the Platform.
To comply with legal obligations.
3. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on servers located within the European Union. We implement industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (TLS), hashed passwords and access controls to protect your personal information.
While we take all reasonable steps to protect your data, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
4. Data sharing and third parties
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:
Payment processors (such as Stripe) to handle Pro subscription billing. These providers have their own privacy policies and handle only the data necessary to process your payment.
Market data providers (such as TradingView) supply the price data shown on the Platform. These are data feeds only and do not receive your personal information.
Legal requirements: we may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
5. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to maintain your login session and remember your theme preference (dark or light mode). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
6. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
Right of access — you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
Right to rectification — you may request correction of inaccurate data.
Right to erasure — you may request deletion of your account and associated data.
Right to data portability — you may request an export of your trade journal data in CSV format (Pro plan).

7. Data retention
We retain your account and trade journal data for as long as your account remains active. If you delete your account, all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
8. Children's privacy
The Platform is not directed at persons under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
